Visa

 

Australia is one of the countries whose citizens are allowed entry to Taiwan without a visa (see Note 1 below). As long as your passport is valid for at least six months, and you already have a return ticket, you can stay in Taiwan for a period of 30 days. (This is not extendable.)

If you would like to stay in Taiwan for more than 30 days but less than six months, you can apply for a tourist visa with your passport (which needs to be valid for at least six months). Whether it is for the purpose of sightseeing, business, family visits, study or training, medical treatment or other legitimate activities, all you need are your passport, your inbound and outbound tickets, three photos, a completed application form, and documents that verify the purpose of your visit.

In Australia, you can get application forms for a tourist visa (for a stay of more than 30 days) from any of the following offices:
