Cycling Around Taiwan -- Discovering the Island's Beauty at a Moderate Pace

The "Cycling Around Taiwan" event is organized by the Taiwan Cyclist Federation. The tour goes around Taiwan counterclockwise, starting from Taipei City and following the western coast down to the far south, before heading back north following the east coast and finally arriving back at Taipei.

The tour includes stops at major cities and small towns, visits to local temples, jaunts to night markets, and enjoyment of local snacks and cuisine. The route takes in many of Taiwan's best tourist attractions, including scenic areas, national parks, heritage-rich cities and towns, beautiful coastlines, lush forests, and much more. Local and international participants get to learn much about local culture by making stops at museums and temples. They also get to learn about local cuisine when sampling specialties at night markets and restaurants. Finally, a special treat for the cyclists is a stop at the production facilities of Taiwan's leading and internationally renowned bicycle producer -- Giant.
