Peach season at Lalashan

The "Peach Season at Lalashan" activity takes place in Fuhsing Township in northern Taiwan's Taoyuan County, from June 1 to July 31, 2007.

Taoyuan County is known for its peach cultivation. The peaches produced at Lalashan, located deep in the mountains off the Northern Cross-Island Freeway, are said to have the best quality. In order to highlight the annual peach harvest season, the Taoyuan County Government organizes a wide range of activities in June and July every year. Local and international visitors to Lalashan are invited to take part in the fruit-picking and learn about life in Taiwan's mountain farms. Meanwhile, Lalashan is also an excellent place for hiking. The numerous hiking tracks in the area lead through forests that are home to ancient trees and rich ecological habitats.
