2006 Kaohsiung Lantern Festival

The 2006 Kaohsiung Lantern Festival takes place along the Love River and at the Kaohsiung Harbor in southern Taiwan's Kaohsiung City, from January 29 to February 28, 2006. The event is organized by the Kaohsiung City Government.

The 2006 Kaohsiung Lantern Festival features hand lantern giveaway, laser fountain and water and fire dance show, lantern show, folk art performances, snacks and local specialties, national lantern contest exhibition, sea of tree lanterns, tourism display area, boat display area, tourism education area, and a special light box area dedicated to the 2009 World Games to be held in Kaohsiung City.
