Taiwan International Boat and Watersports Show & the Nautica Sino Symposium

The inaugural Taiwan International Boat and Watersports Show & the Nautica Sino Symposium will be held in the Taipei World Trade Center from December 15 to 18.

The show is both a consumer and business to business event. It features the world's foremost custom boat builders, as well as the world's largest producers of marine equipment and component parts. The Nautica Sino Symposium brings together many of the world's most influential manufacturers in the marine leisure industry in one venue.

The decision for Taiwan to hold it's first official International Boat & Watersports Show and Nautica Sino Symposium was made as a result of the following factors:

  • Taiwan is the home of Asia's luxury boat building and marine equipment manufacturing industry.
  • Virtually all boatyards and marine equipment factories in Mainland China are owned and operated by Taiwanese with their head offices in Taiwan.
  • Taiwanese yacht brands, such as Jade, Horizon, Khashing(Monte Fino), Tachou, Tayana, Johnson and President, are recognized worldwide.
  • Other recognized international brands are produced OEM in Taiwan, including Nordhavn, Marlow, Offshore, Hargraves, McKinna, Hampton, Fleming, Hatteras and Trader, just to name a few.
  • Taiwan is now the 4th largest producer of luxury yachts in the world.
  • Taiwanese businessmen are one of the most influential groups in the world's marine leisure industry.

To get to the Taipei World Trade Center, visitors can take the blue (east-west) line of the Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) network in Taipei City and get off at the Taipei City Hall Station. The walk to the Taipei World Trade Center takes about 10 minutes.
