2005 Kaohsiung International Food Show
The 2005 Kaohsiung International Food Show will be held in the Kaohsiung Business Exhibition Center in southern Taiwan's Kaohsiung City from November 24 to 27. The show is the debut of Southern Taiwan's international food exhibition. Southern Taiwan is the epicenter of Taiwan's processed food and beverage production, accounting for 40 percent of Taiwan's total output. Approximately 1,600 food and beverage factories are located in the region, ranging from forage manufacturing, frozen food, wine brewage, and non-alcoholic beverage. The host city, Kaohsiung, is Taiwan's second largest city. The city plays an important role in Taiwan's food industry because it has a thriving fishery business and is famous for its international seafood trade. More importantly, Kaohsiung is the biggest commercial harbor in Taiwan. It is also one of the largest container ports in the world. The city's international port offers greater convenience for exports when compared to northern Taiwan. The 2005 Kaohsiung International Food Show features all kinds of assorted food, beverages, condiments, wine & spirits, meat products, frozen & prepared foods, biscuits & confections, healthy foods, fruit and vegetables, food ingredients & additives, dairy products & cereals, tableware, and small food processing machinery. The show is organized by the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) and supervised by the department of Commerce under the Ministry of Economic Affairs. The Kaohsiung Business Exhibition Center is located at No.274, 4th Zhongzheng Road, Yan Cheng District, Kaohsiung City. Please note that children under 12 years of age or less than 130cm tall are not allowed on the showground. |
