17th Taipei International Show on Medical Equipment, Pharmaceuticals & BiotechnologyThe 17th Taipei International Show on Medical Equipment, Pharmaceuticals & Biotechnology will be held in the Taipei World Trade Center Exhibition Hall from November 10 to 13. The MEDIPHAR TAIPEI 2005 is Asia's top global sourcing center for the medical equipment, pharmaceuticals, and biotech industries. As the global healthcare industry and market continue to grow, the show continues to be the place to seize upon the new research, therapies, technologies, applications, and breakthrough products which are sure to benefit both people and business prospects. Taiwan has achieved significantly in recent years in fields such as organic chemistry, automation, nanotechnology, opto-electronics, and semiconductors. Taiwanese companies are developing new diagnostic methods and treatments and applying breakthrough technology to new technologies. From hospital equipment and physical therapy aids, to herbal products, prosthetics, and orthopedic products, Taiwan-made products combine the nation's IT strengths with a strong medical heritage. Most prominent of these products include digital infrared thermal imaging systems, handheld ECG monitors, one-step HIV rapid test kits, blood glucose monitoring systems, palm pulse oximeters, and other personalized health test systems, bio-energy daily healthcare products, and anti-bacteria products. The Taipei International Show on Medical Equipment, Pharmaceuticals & Biotechnology features a wide range of biotech products, medical use computer products & software, diagnostic equipment, educational equipment, health care products, hospital supplies, medical equipment & instruments, medical materials, pharmaceuticals, rehabilitative products, and elderly & nursing care products. The show is co-organized by the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) and the Formosan Medical Association. To get to the Taipei World Trade Center, visitors can take the blue (east-west) line of the Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) network in Taipei City and get off at the Taipei City Hall Station. The walk to the Taipei World Trade Center takes about 10 minutes. |
