Farmers

As introduced by the Taiwan Yearbook 2006:

By the end of 2005, the Farmers' Health Insurance program covered 1.65 million farmers. This insurance program is administered at the national level by the Ministry of the Interior (MOI), and at the local level by the relevant municipal, county, or city government. All people over 15 years of age who engage in agricultural work for more than 90 days a year or those who are members of a farmers' association are eligible for coverage under this program, which includes cash benefits for disability, maternity, and funeral expenses. Farmers aged 65 and older who meet certain conditions are entitled to an NT$5,000 (US$150) monthly allowance.
