Chinese Version of "This Precious Life" published in Taiwan
The Chinese version of Khandro Rinpoche's "This Precious Life" was recently published in Taiwan via the newly-established Tibetan Text Society in Taipei. With a Foreword by the Dalai Lama, this book explores how we can better use our short lives to pursue the spiritual path. Khandro Rinpoche was born in India in 1967. She is the daughter of the Tibetan meditation master His Holiness Mindrolling Trichen and is herself a renowned teacher in the Kagyu and Nyingma lineages of Tibetan Buddhism. As the head of a Tibetan Buddhist monastery for nuns in India, she divides her time between teaching in the West, running the nunnery, and supporting charity projects for Tibetan refugees in India. Her book "This Precious Life" was first published in 2003 by Shambhala Publications, Inc. in the United States and since then has received praises from all over the world . "This Precious Life" is based on the traditional Tibetan Buddhist framework of the Four Reminders -- the preciousnss of human birth, the truth of impermanence, the reality of suffering, and the inescapability of karma. Using this framework and various contemplative exercises, Khandro Rinpoche explains how we can all learn to see our lives as a gift and bring inner peace and happiness to ourselves and those around us.
