Government announces 3 new steps to improve cross-strait exchanges

The first is to authorize the Taipei Airlines Association to negotiate with its Chinese counterpart on the opening of direct cross-strait charter cargo flights. The second is to authorize the Taiwan External Trade Development Council to talk with relevant Chinese authorities on the shipment of Taiwanese agricultural products to China. The third is to commission an "appropriate organization" to assist in setting the stage for bilateral talks on issues related to the opening of Taiwan's doors to Chinese tourists.
