An End to Obstruction to Taiwanese Participation

As introduced by the Yearbook of the Republic of China:

Taiwan and its people are ready and willing to participate in all types of international activities. In bilateral cooperation, humanitarian relief, scientific exchanges, promotion of human rights, environmental protection, maintenance of regional and global peace, and even the fight against terrorism, the sincerity and enthusiasm of the Taiwanese is apparent.

In its attempts to preclude Taiwan's participation in international organizations, China relentlessly incites discord in political, economic, business, scientific, and cultural fora over issues such as Taiwan's right of representation and membership designation in international organizations and activities.

It is the sincere wish of the Taiwanese people that the leaders of China will soon realize that this attitude only brings harm to the peoples on both sides of the Taiwan Strait, as well as to the international community as a whole. Beijing should adopt a more constructive stance, so that both sides can contribute fully to the great tasks of promoting peace, stability, development, and prosperity around the world.
