Government urged to provide more jobs for the disadvantaged
This article was from the Central News Agency and published by the Macroview Weekly on July 13, 2005. The ROC government is urged to appropriate more budget to create jobs for the disadvantaged, in order to narrow the domestic income gap. It is urged to set aside more budget to subsidize employers who hire unemployed middle-aged and elderly job seekers. Various finance projects are also in need of being supported, which will allow first-time job seekers to get "job experience" opportunities. The government is further urged to organize special vocational training programs to help disadvantaged groups to secure jobs. |
