Company announces community subsides

 

This article was written by Rita Fang and published by the Taiwan Journal on November 4, 2005. It reports that Sinyi Real Estate Inc., Taiwan's largest real-estate broker, recently announced that it would fund projects in 92 communities around Taiwan in 2005.

This is the second year that Sinyi has been operating the sponsorship program. According to the company, the program is based on the aim of consolidating "the interactions between people and people and between home and home".

Each community will be given up to US$15,000 to improve the immediate environment. This can be in the ways of improving the community's interpersonal relationships, resource application, security, cultural activities or recycling. The total amount given out will be nearly US$600,000.

According to Sinyi, the overall give-year program is aimed at bestowing a total of almost US$3 million to the communities of Taiwan. In total, 561 applications were received in 2005. In 2004, the company's funding was provided to 57 communities.
