TIFS 2006 slated for March 15-18 at TWTC

It features the 2006 Taipei International Furniture Show, which will take place at the Taipei World Trade Center from March 15 to 18. The show is expected to provide a common platform for global furniture trade and give Taiwan's furniture makers a chance to the world market.

There will be a total of 211 exhibitors at the show, including 191 domestic makers and 20 firms from other countries and areas such as the United Kingdom, Germany, the United States, Japan, Hong Kong, Malaysia and Indonesia. It is expected that more than 1,000 foreign buyers from around the world will visit the show and search for the products they need.

The show will display a wide range of furniture products in categories such as indoor/outdoor furniture, OA furniture, home furnishing, glasswork pavilion, traditional tomorrow collection, image pavilion, and the platform of winning designs. Special seminars will be organized during the show, in order to discuss the latest developments and prospects of the furniture industries in Taiwan and overseas. A unique keynote speech will be given by Vladimir Kagan, the world-renowned designer, on contemporary design trend.

The 2006 Taipei International Furniture Show's theme will be "design, comfort and value". In addition to the special "Innovation and Design Competition" and the "Best Booth Presentation Competition", registered exhibitors and buyers will be able to participate in a free half-day city tour offered by the show's organizers.
