TTRI sets up national standard "CT3" for textile products
This article was published by the Taiwan Headlines on May 4, 2006. It reports that the Taiwan Textile Research Institute recently established a national-standard testing system for textile products. Any textile products that pass the test will be accredited with the "CT3" mark, a national standard ratified by the Bureau of Standards, Metrology and Inspection under the Ministry of Economic Affairs. "CT3" is Taiwan's first national-standard certificate for textile products, particularly the industrial-use textile products that require high safety and sanitation standard. Currently, more than 10 textile companies in Taiwan are applying for the mark for their products. The Taiwan Textile Research Institute plans to urge the government to include the "CT3" mark into the conditions required for textile products purchased by government units. It is expected that the establishment of the "CT3" testing system will help upgrade Taiwan's textile industry. |
