Electronics industry transforming into market deployer

Taiwan's electronics industry is transforming from a producer to a manager and market deployer, as a result of a dramatically changing market and the rising demand for knowledge-based products. In an annual analysis on the prospects for the local industry, officials from the Board of Foreign Trade (BOFT) said that Taiwan makers, facing intense competition in international markets, have to upgrade the designs, applications and images of their goods to produce globally competitive high-end products. The top issue for the local electronics industry is that Taiwan must solicit more professional individuals and create full promotion of the sector.
