Fushou Mountain (Fushoushan)

Fushou Mountain (Fushoushan) is located within the northern section of Mt. Hehuan in Taichung County. It is near Lishan, the midpoint of Taiwan's Central Cross-Island Highway.

Fushou Mountain is one of the largest fruit and vegetable growing areas in Taiwan. The area has a pleasant pastoral air of green fields, small farms, and pine trees. There is a road meandering through the area. At the road's highest point is a lodge once favored by late president Chiang Kai-Shek. Further on, the road drops steeply through some attractive aboriginal villages and spectacular wooded hills. It then comes out on the Mt. Hehuan branch of the Cross-Island Highway. The scenery along the road is fantastic, by car or bicycle.
