Da-an Seaside Resort

The Da-an Seaside Resort is located in Taichung County's Da-an Township, whose west side connects to the Taiwan Strait. The resort has a fine beach, with a natural sand hill as its outer border.

The Da-an Seaside Resort was established in 1932, but was practically ruined during the Second World War. In 1961, officials in Da-an Township decided to rebuild the resort and make it be part of the town's public property. The rebuilding not only restored all of the resort's recreational equipment, but also included various restaurants to serve visitors. The resort was rebuilt again in 1981 and became the best tourist spot in Taichung County's western coastal region.

Recreational facilities in the Da-an Seaside Resort include coastal bathing, hot springs, swimming pools, waterfalls, hiking tracks, parks, barbeques, and other water sports.
