National Museum of Natural Science
The museum's park contains a greenhouse for tropical rain forests and an outdoor exhibition of the evolution of Taiwan's low-altitude plants. A 220-meter walkway near the museum's entrance displays the evolutionary history of life. The museum's four exhibition halls are for four different subjects of natural science. They are the Science Center, the Life Science Hall, the Earth Environment Hall, and the China Science Hall. In these exhibition halls, visitors can participate in numerous science experiments in person. The educational function of the exhibitions are further enhanced by using light and sound effects. The museum also boasts four multimedia theaters for different subjects of natural science. They are the Space Theater, the Birds View Theater, the Three-Dimensional Theater, and the Environment Theater. These theaters and other classrooms combine audio-visual equipment such as video players, projectors, slide machines, models and charts. Visitors can touch live animals and specimens and operate various experimental devices. Through the interactions of instructors and viewers, visitors are given a learning opportunity for precise, rich and diversified knowledge. |
