Aowanda National Forest Recreation Area

Aowanda National Forest Recreation Area is located in Ren-ai Township in central Taiwan's Nantou County. The area is famous for its maples. Every autumn, maple leaves in the area turn red and flutter in the winds. In other seasons, the area offers pleasant weather, forests for hiking, fireflies at night, and plenty of fresh flowers.

Aowanda National Forest Recreation Area is perfect for hiking and bird-watching. The area also provides hot springs.
