The Blue Highway

While Taipei City has plenty of scenic spots on land, it is also a city by the sea. The city is further crossed by the Danshui and Keelong Rivers.

The "Blue Highway" was launched in February 2004. It will open its new line between Dadaocheng and Danshui Fisherman's Wharf on July 17th. This line will take visitors from Taipei City to Taipei County.

Seen from the waters, Taipei City offers a different scene indeed. During the highway's trial period, ferry across the Danshui River will run twice a day during weekdays and six times a day on weekends and holidays. Some of these ferries also stop at Guandu.
