Taipei World Trade Center
The giant four-in-one Taipei World Trade Center (TWTC) complex is managed by the China External Trade Development Council (CETRA). The center is designed to provide the greatest possible convenience for foreign business visitors. The four facilities in the complex are the Exhibition Hall, the Taipei International Convention Center, the International Trade Building, and the luxurious Grand Hyatt Taipei. The complex is ideal for business meetings, seminars, conferences, product displays and international trade fairs. It also houses permanent government agency service centers, telecommunications and postal services, and banks.
The Exhibition Hall is a perfect forum for both short- and long-term product displays. The first-floor exhibition area has room for 1,313 standard show booths, and CETRA sponsors over 20 international trade shows every year. Floors two through seven of the Exhibition Hall house the most extensive product assortment under one roof in Asia, the Export and Import Marts, which include fully staffed showrooms and unmanned sample display booths. Support services at the Exhibition Hall include up-to-date product lists and a large multilingual staff to assist negotiations between buyers and sellers. The TWTC keeps a list of all items on permanent display, and this information is available to buyers or representatives via phone, fax, telex or letter.
The Taipei International Convention Center offers the best meeting facilities in Asia, and can handle a gathering of up to 10,000 people. The 12 soundproofed meeting rooms -- including the theater-style main hall (with seating for 3,100) and two auditoriums -- can be broken down into 20, and the banquet hall and two restaurants can also be used for meetings if necessary. The TICC has a full range of support services, facilities and equipment, as well as a multilingual staff. It also provides convention services; international telecommunications; office space;, six-language simultaneous interpretation; space for small exhibitions;, modern audiovisual equipment; in-house art production facilities;, a fully equipped, computerized press center; and a computerized P/A and intercom system serving all floors. The International Trade Building and the Grand Hyatt Taipei The 34-story International Trade Building houses CETRA's offices and trade-related services and organizations. The 872-room Grand Hyatt Taipei, Taiwan's largest hotel, has several Asian and Western restaurants with private dining rooms and a variety of meeting facilities, as well as the standard services of a top hotel. International Trade Shows The following is a list of some of the annual international trade shows at TWTC. They are arranged by the approximate month when each show is held, although changes are made from time to time in response to changing industry needs.
