Hutoupi Scenic Area

Situated at the Hutou Mountain region in the suburban area to the east of Sinhua Town, Hutoupi was named by the shape of the mountain that looks like the face of a ferocious tiger. The vast lake of Hutoupi has tracks built around it, where camphor trees and Taiwan acacia are dense along the way. The Tiger Moon Pavilion stands tall on the lake isle, which is connected to both banks of the lake by the Tiger Moon Suspension Bridge. The bridge is long and thin. Standing on the bridge at dawn and dusk and overlooking the lake, one will see the enchanting sight of bluish green waves shimmering with orange-yellowish luster. Thus the famous scenery of "Iris Shadow of Bridge over the Lake".

Recreational and leisure facilities are plenty in this area, with the administration center, swimming pool, barbeque area, camping area, dining center, the suspension bridge and the Tiger Moon Pavilion near the entrance. The Zengwen Youth Activity Center, which is equipped with venues for camping, dining and accommodation, is located on the hills at the east end of the scenic area. There are a total of 33 two-person suites, 4 four-person suites, and 12 group suites to accommodate a total of 250 persons, and spacious common rooms, restaurants, and meeting rooms.
