Jioupeng Desert

The Jioupeng Desert is located in Manchou Township in southern Taiwan's Pingtung County. It features fascinating sand dunes, which are as famous as those in Hengchun Township.

On the west side of the Hengchun Township is the Wind-blown Sand (Fongchuisha), while on its east side is the Gangtze Dune. Sand dunes in Gangtze Dune are formed by the sturdy blowing of the northeast trade winds. The sand dunes here are finely proportioned and their curves are absolutely beautiful.
