Sheding Nature Park

Sheding Nature Park is located in Hengchun Township in southern Taiwan's Pingtung Township, uphill from the Kenting National Forest Recreation Area.

Sheding Nature Park provides local and international visitors with an opportunity to see Taiwan's flora and fauna in their natural state (in contrast to the Kenting National Forest Recreation Area where the display of plants is more formalized). The front section of the park contains a number of walking tracks and bird watching pavilions, which are ideal locations for watching some of the larger birds that stop over in Kenting on their migrations. The best time to view these birds is around October.

Further to the south, the park has been left largely undeveloped. This gives visitors with enough time and energy a chance to explore the lush forests of Kenting in their unspoiled state.
