Mt Guan (Guanshan)

Mt Guan, or Guanshan, is located in Hengchun Township in southern Taiwan's Pingtung County, between Hengchun and Moubitou. It is formed of coral and stands 152 meters above the sea level.

Standing above this predominantly flat section of the Hengchun Peninsula, MT Guan provides spectacular views of the Longluan Lake and the length of the western coast. At the top of the mountain is the Fude (Earth God) Temple, one of only a very few old temples in Taiwan that have been constructed of coral rock. The temple is a popular spot for local and international visitors to watch the sunset.
