Kaohsiung Confucius Temple

The Kaohsiung Confucius Temple is located in Kaohsiung City's Tsuoying District. The building is modeled on Sung Dynasty's solemn and majestic architectural style. It is Taiwan's largest Confucius temple.

Beside an arching bridge is a bronze statue of Confucius, China's most influential philosopher and teacher. The temple is also the site of the annual Teachers' Day celebration, which takes place on September 28th to honor the birthday of Confucius. To the east of the temple, one can see the jagged left side of Mt Panping rising up in the background.
