1883, the Chihou Lighthouse was constructed on the summit of Chihou Mountain.
The octagonal shaped structure is approximately 11 meters high. It was
completely remodeled in 1918, and has been classified as a third-class
historic site. It is also called the "Kaohsiung Lighthouse".
