Kaohsiung History Museum
The Kaohsiung History Museum is located near the Love River, in Kaohsiung City's Yancheng District. The building was built in 1938. After the Second World War, it was used as the Kaohsiung City Hall. As the building is significant as a landmark and in Kaohsiung's history, it was rebuilt as a history museum and reopened in 1998. Beside the museum are the Industrial Exhibition Center and the Kaohsiung Music Center. The museum itself is a professional structure, collecting and filing historical documents and objects in Kaohsiung. In addition to the categorization of historic sites, the museum also aims to enhance its research ability and to combine local resources in order to preserve the diverse development of Kaohsiung City. |
