Blue Lagoon Water Park

The Blue Lagoon Water Park is located about 10 minutes from Kaohsiung's city center. It is an amusement park with a Caribbean theme.

In order to create a Mediterranean atmosphere, the park has set up nine filtration systems in order to provide a continuous source of clean water. Tropical vegetation has been planted among the waterways. All the buildings are done in red tiles and white bricks, with lofty palm trees and brilliant birds of paradise growing everywhere. Picnic tables and comfortable lying chairs are placed in every corner for local and international visitors to relax in the area's warm breezes.

The Blue Lagoon Water Park has appointed lifeguards, nurses and other medical personnel with nationally certified licenses. Indeed, the park is the first water amusement park in Taiwan to provide such a service, so that local and international visitors may enjoy the park's facilities safely.

Apart from its specially designed tropical landscape, the park has an exclusive seven-story water slide for rubber boats that can accommodate four people. Although it is exciting to lose balance while sliding down the water tunnel at 360 degree turns, visitors with heart problems are urged to refrain from going on the ride. Instead, these visitors can try floating among the waves in the park's artificial pool, or sunbathe in the floating pool and imagine themselves on a peaceful tropical island.

In accordance with its Caribbean theme, the park's restaurants provide BBQ meals, smoked foods, and a great variety of authentic sauces. Most of these restaurants provide buffet-style fast food services.
