Northeast Coast Scenic Area

 

The Northeast Coast Scenic Area is located in the northeastern corner of Taiwan. The area comprises a narrow belt of coastline, running 66 kilometers in length. The northern section of the coastline looks out onto the East China Sea, while the eastern section faces the Pacific.

The Northeast Coast Scenic Area begins in the north near the town of Rueifang in Taipei County, and ends in the south near the town of Toucheng in Yilan County. The area's western border faces the coastal mountain range, while its eastern border ends at water's edge.

The Northeast Coast Scenic Area covers 9,450 hectares of interior land, as well as 4,275 hectares of coastline, from Bitou Cape to Sandiau Cape. In total, the area offers 13,725 hectares of natural beauty for local and international visitors to enjoy.
