Suao and Nanfangao

Suao is a small town in northern Taiwan's Yilan County. The town has a busy fishing port and plenty of nice seafood restaurants, and mainly caters for local and international visitors who stay here overnight on their way to Hualien County in the east coast. Suao also marks the beginning point of the famous Suao-Hualien Highway.

Nanfangao is located about two kilometers southeast of Suao. It is also an attractive fishing harbor. Many wooden fishing boats and steel freighters are built here. Visitors can also stop by any of the many seafood restaurants in the town.
