Chung Cheng Aviation Museum

Inaugurated in 1981, the Chung Cheng Aviation Museum was constructed by the Civil Aeronautics Administration of Communications Ministry in line with the government's policy of cultural development for the purpose of preserving aviation history and improving public understanding of the civil aviation industry.

The museum has four main exhibition areas that house 700 different types of airplanes. There are also a space shuttle model, a flight simulator, a genuine American space suit, and plenty of audio-visual presentations. In general, the museum provides educational, creative and enjoyable exhibitions rich with information on aviation and illustrated with accurate replicas of real aircraft.

The museum is the first of its kind in Taiwan. There are free shuttle bus services to the Chung Cheng Aviation Museum, from the two terminals of the airport, and from the Airport Hotel.

The Chung Cheng Aviation Museum opens from 9am to 5pm from Tuesday to Sunday, but closes on Monday.
