Pinglin Tea Museum

 

Pinglin Tea Museum is located in Pinglin Township in Taipei County. The museum presents traditional Chinese tea culture and is worth visiting for all, particularly the tea lovers.

Pinglin Tea Museum has an abundant collection of materials on tea culture. Within the museum are theme exhibition areas and seasonal theme exhibitions. The exhibitions include physical and cultural aspects of all information concerning tea drinking in Taiwan.

The museum consists of the Exhibition Hall, the Theme Hall, the Multimedia Hall, the Tea Art Hall and the Promotion Center. The Exhibition Hall has three exhibition areas: tea history, tea making and tea leaves. These areas introduce how tea culture has developed throughout the Chinese history. They also feature various rituals of tea making and commercial development of tea.

On the east side of the museum is a well-designed garden in Southern Chinese architectural style. Inside the garden, there are traditional Chinese buildings, corridors, rockery, pavilion and bamboo.
