Youth commission aims to lure foreign backpackers to Taiwan

It reports that the National Youth Commission will set up a booth at the annual Berlin Film festival to promote Taiwan as an excellent destination for international backpackers. The international film festival will take place from March 8 to 12.

The booth will be set up with the slogan "Youth Travel in Taiwan - Let's Be Friends", in order to lure young foreign visitors who may be interested in an in-depth exploration of Taiwan. There will be traditional hand puppet shows and good-luck charms giveaways at the booth every day.

Some of Taiwan's major attractions include inexpensive youth hostels, traditional folklore, religious festivals, stunning natural scenery and delicious food. It is hoped that international visitors will find it fascinating to explore Taiwan's multi-faceted and pluralistic society and its beautiful natural environment.
