Haishan Temple
Haishan
Temple , located near the intersection of Chongcheng Road and Pingdeng
Street, was built in 1874. It is the oldest temple in eastern Taiwan.
Destroyed by an earthquake in 1951, it has been rebuilt several times.
The three large Buddhas in the main hall date back to the period of Japan's
colonial occupation of Taiwan (1895-1945).
