Taitung Hongye Hot Springs and Hongye Little League Memorial Hall

Hongye Village is located in Yanping Township of Taitung County, and most of its residents are members of the Bunun aboriginal tribe. This was once the home of one of the world's top Little League teams, and the Little League Memorial Hall in the Hongye Primary School records the team's past achievements.

Meanwhile, go along the paved road beside the gate of the primary school for about 150 meters, take the fork that leads up to the Hongye River for about four kilometers, and you will find hot springs rich in hydrogen sulfide. Open-air bathing facilities are being built here; they are not completed yet, but you can dig your own hot-spring pool right in the riverbed and enjoy a primitive natural bath. A mountain permit is required to visit this spot. You can get one (with your passport or identification card) at the Yanping Township office.
