January 2006
The Naughties Club is now offering unique Australian coins for our
new members to collect. Some of these coins can be dated back to the
1960s, and are a great way for our members to start their own coin
collections.
Coins are a fundamental part of a country's economy. Because of this,
their designs often draw inspirations from the most extraordinary
aspects of a country's political, economic, social and cultural histories.
The coins we are offering here at The Naughties Club are with the
theme of Australia's unique native animals and plants. They are mainly
1-cent and 2-cent pieces, which are already out of circulation. This
means that these coins are no longer available in today's Australia,
a fact that greatly contributes to their historical and cultural values.
Starting from January 1, 2006, everybody who registers as a new member
of The Naughties Club will be sent a special Australian coin that
symbolizes cross-cultural friendship. If you were born between January
1, 2000, and December 31, 2009 -- that is the first decade of the
21st century -- then you can become our member. It is absolutely free
to register. All we need to know is your first name, initial of last
name, birth date, and email address, so that we can contact you when
necessary. All personal details will be kept strictly confidential.
Members of The Naughties Club receive four issues of The Naughties
Club Newsletter per year, by email. They also receive a specially
designed card on their birthdays. Most significantly, our members
can further receive a 20% discount when they purchase books and gifts
from our sponsors (Solid
Software Pty Ltd and Taiwan.com.au
Portal).
For more information about how to become a member of The Naughties
Club, please have a look at our Membership

Thank you. We look forward to sending you a speical Australian coin
in the near future.
